The thought of sharing a trauma experience with some one else is overwhelming for a lot of people. Many people share their story for the first time in our initial session. A deep dive is not required to begin therapy. We move at your pace. I offer a safe space to focus on your objectives. I am honest and empathetically offer challenge to inspire change. We will work to expand your skills to manage coping, thoughts, and behaviors each session. If a concept or assignment doesn't resonate with you, we will find a different approach.

I prefer a non-sterile counseling environment. In other words, the clinic office is not the only place to conduct therapy. I typically wear jeans and flip flops or whatever is comfortable. I encourage you to dress how you feel comfortable when we meet as well.

I help many people online and telephonically. On occasion I conduct offsite counseling.

Metal + hammer + heat + therapy = an empowering trauma focused hammer therapy where we will hammer metal into an awesome, functional piece of art you get to take home to remind you transformation is in your hands. No blacksmithing experience necessary! Throughout our time together we will conduct group therapy and hammer on some of our past experiences with a goal of personal transformation.
I specialize in combat, sexual assault, and childhood physical/sexual abuse related trauma. I'm experienced with LGBTQIA2S+ concerns. I frequently work with people in poly, open, and non-monogamy relationships. I assist Vets and First Responders with concerns related to service/deployment.
My family runs a non-profit, Reforged.org, to support Vets' and First Responders' mental health through blade smithing and counseling in a non-traditional setting. I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology. I seek to complete my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2022. I will obtain my LPC Supervisor license in 2023.

When I am not counseling, learning, writing, teaching, working, or volunteering, I enjoy creating metal works of art in our family's shop, Caylor Forge and Leatherworks. Our Texas shops are located in Gruene and Downtown San Antonio. We will open our Forge Bier Garten near the Pearl in December 2022. Plan to join us for a mini German-Style Weihnachtsmarkt to find unique hand made gifts at our Downtown San Antonio shop.
